The trek combines the hidden valleys of Nar and Phu, the majestic Himlung Himal, and the breathtaking beauty of Tilicho Lake, creating a truly unique Himalayan adventure.
Starting in the remote Nar and Phu valleys, trekkers experience an untouched world rich in Tibetan culture, ancient monasteries, and traditional mountain life. These secluded valleys remain far from the busy trekking routes, offering peace, authenticity, and a deep cultural connection.
The journey then leads toward Himlung Himal, where the landscape becomes more rugged and dramatic. Surrounded by glaciers, high passes, and towering snow peaks, this section provides a true high-altitude wilderness experience and incredible close-up mountain views.
Finally, the trek reaches Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world, famous for its stunning turquoise color and dramatic setting beneath towering Himalayan peaks. The trail to the lake is adventurous and rewarding, offering some of the most spectacular scenery in Nepal.

These isolated Tibetan-style villages offer a glimpse into traditional Himalayan life. Nar and Phu remain untouched by mass tourism, providing a serene cultural experience with stone houses, prayer flags, and ancient monasteries. The valleys are also home to local communities that maintain their unique customs and farming practices.
The trek offers close-up views of Himlung Himal, a massive peak rising to 7,126m. While climbing it requires technical mountaineering skills, the trek to its base camps is incredibly scenic, with glaciers, moraine fields, and snow-capped peaks framing the route.

Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world at 4,919m, is a highlight that attracts trekkers for its turquoise waters set against the backdrop of Annapurna II and surrounding ridges. The lakeโs surreal beauty, surrounded by jagged peaks and steep cliffs, makes it a photographerโs paradise.
The trek passes through diverse landscapesโfrom subtropical forests and terraced fields to alpine meadows, rocky passes, and glacier-fed rivers. The journey offers breathtaking views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and other surrounding peaks, making every step a visual feast.
Trekkers cross several challenging high passes, including the Kang La Pass (5,360m), which offers panoramic views of the Nar and Phu valleys and the surrounding Himalayan giants.
Along the trek, there are chances to spot Himalayan wildlife such as snow leopards (rarely), blue sheep, Himalayan marmots, and a variety of birds adapted to high altitudes. The flora changes dramatically with altitude, from rhododendron forests to alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers.
This trek is perfect for travelers who want an off-the-beaten-path adventure, combining high-altitude trekking with cultural immersion. It offers solitude, natural beauty, and challenging terrain without the crowds found on popular Annapurna Circuit or Everest Base Camp routes.
Adventure Fourteen Summit can organize a fully guided Nar Phu, Himlung Himal & Tilicho Lake trek, including experienced guides, porters, permits, and all logistics, ensuring a safe and unforgettable Himalayan experience.
